Wave Terminal v0.11.0 is out! This release includes a major rewrite of our connections infrastructure, improving both backend systems and remote file protocols. A key addition in this release is the new shell initialization system. It allows users to configure remote connections with custom environment variables on startup and source local files as init scripts for remote shells. This enables portable shell customization that can be applied per-tab/split without modifying shared machines. Key updates: • New search functionality in terminal and web blocks (Cmd-F) • Terminal multi-input: control all terminals in a tab simultaneously (Ctrl-Shift-I) • Google Gemini support added to Wave AI • Enhanced multi-shell support for bash, zsh, pwsh, and fish • Improved WSL support with wsh-free connection options • Redesigned remote file protocol (groundwork for upcoming S3 support) Technical improvements: • Better shell detection and error logging • Reduced 2FA prompts when using ForceCommand • Support for file:/// URLs in web widget • Fixed Windows file permission display in directory preview This release includes *166 merged PRs* with numerous bug fixes and stability improvements. #devtools #commandline #terminal #opensource
