my name is ivy! just your local recurring symptom. welcome to my unit on the internet!! i decided to start from scratch, changing everything up a bit -- some few of u might know me from my other website, but hush-hush! i stopped liking my old place. it was tied to my name, and that was killing my whimsy because it was too attached to me. and that was no bueno tbh... ૮꒰ ˶• ༝ •˶꒱ა
this is a personal space by an adult, for an adult audience. since i'm just yapping my unedited thoughts into the void, i might eventually trip over some mature themes... or i might not! who knows? so please browse with that in mind!! ♡ also: this website is optimized for dekstops and things may not look like they're supposed to on mobile!

just like my previous place, i wanted to make a space that feels like a warm nap on a rainy day; a place where i can just yap about dreams, memories, and random nonsense without feeling like the algorithm's watching me, and silently judging. this time just without the mistake of tying it to my name. nothing else will be much different! my old blog "survived" for a year, lets hope this is my forever blog/website/diary/whatever.
yk i keep thinking about the old internet a lot, and guestbooks filled with strangers? sites were messy and personal and nobody gave a single damn about "branding"? i miss that. it was weird and sincere.. today's web is too damn sterile and serious... like calm the heck down, live a little, shall u? bc every. single. website. is built on some damn framework, they all look cookie cutter, like copy paste, like glorified ipad apps forced to load on computers!! how can u nt see that as boring? well screw that, and ur best practices, and ur responsiveness and ur accessibility. i am NOT a company i don't give a single dookie about any of it.
i've always thought there is something special about having a website, a place u can call truly urs. a place where u can do literally anything. when u have ur own place, u're literally unstoppable. and thats the true joy of the personal web! maybe i'll scream into the void about my latest hyperfixation, share questionable photography, or post long-winded thoughts about things you may or may not care about. and yk what? no one can tell me no! in a world full of sleek portfolios and "professional online presences", i just wanted to be the complete opposite. i wanted a space to be me. this is the anti-brand. the anti-polish. it's where i talk about dumb stuff it's like a diary, except you're allowed to read it.
i don't care if this looks dated. i *like* my websites with chaos and everything. modern web design can stay sterile and beige lol. this place exists for joy, not approval. ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა
