Building Your Reputation and Career

I am proud to say that NACVA has hundreds to thousands of very successful members. Many, when they came to us, had no or only slight experience in business valuation (BV) or financial forensics (FF). Many wanted to break away from accounting services and find a new career endeavor. Many were so bored with their current career they were ready to sacrifice all to find a new path forward, but it had to be a path that was engaging, interesting, challenging, and held potential for significant growth. And with NACVA, we gave all these practitioners a home, a place where they could learn, become certified to display their expertise, and a network where they could find like-minded practitioners whom they could call upon if they had questions, needed a report reviewed, or just brainstorm. Because, in the early years, most of NACVA’s members were sole proprietors or the sole practitioner in their firm pursuing BV or FF. Today, they comprise about 50% of our membership.
