DEALER INSTITUTE TRAINING & CONSULTING
The Dealer Institute provides premier training and consulting for the equipment industry empowering equipment dealers with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to excel in today’s competitive marketplace. Offering a wide range of services, from leadership development and financial management to sales optimization and service excellence, the Dealer Institute is tailored to meet the unique challenges of the equipment industry and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, enabling dealers to enhance profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term business success.
SERVICE TECHNICIAN TEST
This test is designed to recognize high performing technicians in dealerships, used for evaluating prospective technicians during the hiring process, as well as to identify the training needs of existing employees. Dealers have found this test to be both efficient and a cost-effective tool for evaluating current and potential employees. The test contains nine topics that are generally encountered in servicing agricultural and construction equipment.
NORTHEAST SERVICE TECHNICIAN TEST
This test is designed to recognize high performing technicians in dealerships, used for evaluating prospective technicians during the hiring process, as well as to identify the training needs of existing employees. Dealers have found this test to be both efficient and a cost-effective tool for evaluating current and potential employees. The test contains nine topics that are generally encountered in servicing agricultural and construction equipment. Once the agreement has been completed, you will receive further instructions on ordering and managing your testing program online.
The test cost is $65 for NAEDA members and $100 for non-members.
TECHNICIANS FOR TOMORROW
An educational marketing campaign focused on promoting career opportunities for service technicians within the agricultural industry. Our goal for Technicians for Tomorrow is to familiarize parents and educators of middle and early high school students with the benefits enjoyed by equipment service technicians and inspire their children and students to explore these careers by focusing their skills at an early age.
NAEDA APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
Modern agriculture relies on equipment to maximize efficiency, shifting from labor-intensive methods to technology-driven production. Agricultural technicians are essential across all equipment brands for setup, repair, and maintenance—making their role critical to agricultural operations.
Apprenticeship programs, a time-tested training model, provide a solid career path. NAEDA's apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs adopt a flexible, skill-focused approach, recognizing that each individual brings unique mechanical or technical strengths. Originally founded by the Northeast Equipment Dealers Association.
LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Engage your employees in a fast-paced dynamic learning management system with bite-size training videos designed to drive change fast. These short, high-impact videos from our campus library average approximately five to ten minutes in length and enable you to easily create a unique training path for each employee. A brief test at the end of each video allows you to assess comprehension. You can easily track as well as measure each employee’s progress and development. Courses range from business and compliance to industry-specific content.
REPAIR DONE RIGHT TRAINING
This industry training has been customized for most major brands including John Deere, CaseIH, New Holland, and Case Construction. Other manufacturer may be added in the near future. As part of the industry commitment, we’ve provided a comprehensive training and downloadable marketing package to help educate not only your dealer organization but also your customer base on a repair done right.

EQUIPMENT DEALERS FOUNDATION
The EDF is dedicated to advancing education in the equipment industry, with a focus on developing service technicians in dealerships. It's scholarship program supports current and aspiring technicians by providing access to technical training, improving their skills and career prospects. Additionally, EDF partners with CASE to offer partial scholarships to teachers, equipping them to bring mechanical education into their classrooms and impact hundreds of students each year. EDF funds these initiatives through annual clay shoots and a golf tournament as well as donations.
CANADA EQUIPMENT DEALERS FOUNDATION
The CEDF is dedicated to advancing education in the equipment industry, with a focus on developing service technicians in dealerships. It's scholarship program supports current and aspiring technicians by providing access to technical training, improving their skills and career prospects. Additionally, CEDF partners with high schools and colleges to support its mission of growing the workforce of technicians across Canada. CEDF funds these initiatives through annual golf tournaments and donations.
WOMEN IN INDUSTRY
The NAEDA Women in Industry Founders Group, a group of women in C-level, general manager and dealer principal positions from NAEDA membership, have been meeting monthly since September of 2020. During their video conference calls, the founder’s group discusses common business issues relating to women and the industry in general and discuss how to attract more women into the industry and ensure their success.
