BAG & SECURITY POLICIES

Symphony Hall & Orpheum Theatre:

For the safety and security of all patrons, Phoenix Convention Center & Venues has implemented a screening process for all public performances at SYMPHONY HALL and the ORPHEUM THEATRE. 

All patrons will pass through METAL DETECTORS to screen for prohibited items.  

Clutch bags/purses no larger than 8.5” x 5.5” and clear bags up to 12” x 6” x 12” are permitted. Medical and family bags are allowed. No other bags are permitted and all bags are subject to search.

Mesa Arts Center:

Screenings will be performed by trained professional contracted security staff and may include, but are not limited to:

• Visual screening
• Bag, case, coat, and hat screenings
• Hand-held magnetometers
• Walk-through magnetometers and/or threat detection systems

Mesa Arts Center Theater Events Bag Policy

• Clear Plastic, Vinyl, or PVC Bags (Max Size 12” x 6” x 12”)
• Small Bag/Clutch Approximately the size of a Folded Piece of Letter Paper (Max Size 8.5” x 5.5”)
• Diaper bags
• Oversized medically necessary items
• Equipment of media outlets by Mesa Arts Center Staff
