    The Arena of Verona Project

    The progetto iPSintegrated Pod System, sviluppato per l’Arena di Verona, nasce dall’analisi delle particolari esigenze morfologiche e dei vincoli architettonici del contesto storico monumentale nel quale è inserito, oltre che delle conseguenti criticità progettuali, impiantistiche, tecniche ed estetiche.

    Built in the 1st century AD, theArena of Verona - an icon of the Veneto city - is the third largest Roman amphitheater in Italy after the Colosseum and the Arena of Capua, and has been the site of the prestigious Arenian Lyric Festival since 1913.

    The design expertise of SEVER has enabled the creation of a
    bathroom environment consisting of a self-supporting structure
    with pre-finished aluminum elements, respecting the specific
    architectural characteristics of the building and able to take
    into account both the needs related to the normal artistic
    activities , and the needs related to the large flow of
    tourists who visit the Arena every day.

    The preliminary study of every detail and the pre-testing of the solutions have facilitated the realizzazione di questo progetto particolarmente articolato e delicato. Una
    tailor-made solution that has allowed to make the most of the
    spazio a disposizione nel pieno rispetto del monumento.

    Flexibility is an element of great importance in the field of interior design today. Interior designers are called upon to develop solutions capable of fitting into any specific context, correctly interpreting the design needs of both new architectural interventions and renovations of existing buildings.
    It is in this scenario, within a unique historic building like theArena of Verona, that the iPS - integrated Pod System project takes shape, a modular bathroom and changing room cell system, with self-supporting panels, entirely conceived and developed by SEVER.

    The iPS system is based on a modular construction logic, customizable in both size and fittings.
    The dry installation methodology used in the construction of the bathroom cell allows for precise planning and absolute guarantee of installation times, also optimizing construction costs. The inspectability of the systems and the total disassembly of the system allow for future relocation of the spaces.

    Comprehensive Flexibility


    With iPS - integrated Pod System the bathroom environment evolves and becomes a dynamic and articulated space. The structure flexible and modular is designed to integrate with the surrounding environment thanks to an exclusive prefabricated aluminum module system.

    Grazie all’elevata versatilità progettuale, i sistemi iPS consentono la realizzazione di servizi igienici, spogliatoi, spazi di servizio, oltre a cucine, mense e molteplici altri ambienti funzionali.

    The system provides for the compositionies of three elements:
    base, wall and ceiling, in relation to the structural and morphological conformation of the architectural project - base and ceiling are optional.

    The iPS system can be placed in the most diverse contexts, from everyday work spaces, to public environments such as hotels, airports, hospitals, schools and sports centers, allowing ampie possibilities of customization in size and choice of fittings.

    Innovation and Functionality


    Designed to meet elevate prestazioni funzionali ed esigenze morfologico-spaziali, iPS – integrated Pod System è dotato di una struttura removable and transferable, che offre una totale flessibilità nella gestione e utilizzo degli spazi interni di un edificio. I pannelli modulari sono costituiti da una componente interna in PVC, racchiusa da due lamine in alluminio, a loro volta protette da un materiale di rivestimento, disponibile in un’ampia varietà di tipologie.

    Qualified by a dry construction system, the cell can be installed at any stage of the construction or renovation of a building.
    The iPS system guarantees precise and punctual planning of construction times , with consequent advantages in relation to the intended use of the building.

    In fase di progettazione, i singoli moduli dell’ambiente sono defined following a careful study of the specific design indications. In this sense, the iPS system allows to reduce construction times through the prefabrication of the individual elements, also avoiding the possible unforeseen events that often occur during on-site construction.
    The complete independence of the cells allows for total inspectability of the systems by removing the panels that make up the structure or, alternatively, through inspection doors placed on the outside of it - to be provided for in the design phase.

    L’impermeabilità totale del pavimento e delle pareti e l’impiego di materiali che forniscono assolute garanzie di inalterabilità nel tempo, fanno di iPS – integrated Pod System una soluzione di cellule prefabbricate solution, ideal for contract sector environments.

    A articulated possibility of customizing the fittings favors the insertion of the iPS system in diversified architectural contexts, sensitively and elegantly interpreting any aesthetic need.

    Plant predisposition


    The aluminum walls of the iPS cell allow to create a technical compartment for the connection of the systems and guarantee their total inspectability.

    The client must exclusively provide for the adjustment of the loads and discharges to connect the iPS system.
