Frequently asked questions

What if we don't know what the problem is yet?

That's exactly why teams bring me in. I'm the "fresh pair of eyes" who spots what you're missing. We start with discovery to identify where users are actually getting stuck.

Are we too early for this?

If you've built something and users are struggling with it, you're not too early. Most teams I work with are Seed to Series A, but I've worked with several bootstrapped and pre-revenue companies. What matters is whether fixing UX will unlock growth.

How quickly can we start?

Usually within a week. We agree on a start date and I guarantee weekly availability. If it's urgent, I can often start sooner.

What if we don't have any analytics or benchmarks?

That's completely normal, most teams I work with don't track UX metrics when we start. We can set up lightweight analytics together, or focus on qualitative feedback and the problems you're already seeing (support tickets, user complaints, demo failures).

Do you work with US-based companies?

Yes. Most of my clients are in the US, UK, and Europe. All work is remote and I'm flexible with timezones.

Can we pause or stop anytime?

Yes. The Product Design Partner service is month-to-month with no long-term contract. The minimum commitment is just one month at a time.

What if we've already got a designer?

That's fine. I often work alongside junior designers or help founders who are making design decisions themselves. Think of me as a fresh pair of eyes who can spot what you're missing.

How do you charge for the Product Design Partner service?

The minimum commitment is 1 day per week. Most teams start with 1-2 days per week depending on how fast they want to move.

What if we've already made a lot of UX mistakes?

That's fixable. Better to identify and fix problems now than after you have thousands of users. One founder I worked with said: "I don't want to make the same mistakes I made last time."
