Sound Devices Service Information
- The Sound Devices Service department services and fully tests all products that we’ve ever manufactured.
- Warranty service is free - both parts and labor.
- Initial inspection and service estimate are free – the customer is not charged until they approve an estimate and the repair is completed.
- Service includes a new, full 1-year warranty - regardless of the age of the product.
- The non-warranty service is covered by a flat-rate labor charge that is based on the product, plus the cost of parts.
Parts Available for Purchase
- We offer ALL parts for sale to anyone, for ALL Sound Devices products we've ever made. We carry this extensive inventory in Reedsburg, WI and in Rickmansworth, UK in order to support our customers. Replacement parts can be purchased by simply calling us, emailing us, or using the web:
- For small parts orders under $10, the parts and shipping are free (via USPS, within USA only).
- Note that there are a few parts from older products that we've run out of stock, but there are relatively few of these. And we also do not sell the PCBs themselves for the products. We are happy to assist with parts, and in some cases of standard parts, we can tell you which parts to buy from Digi-Key, Mouser, etc.
- To protect our IP, we do not publish or share any of our schematics. We can, however, try to help you identify parts on the board if needed.

Performing a valid, meaningful measurement of microphone preamplifier input noise requires more than “cranking open” an input and listening in headphones.
