Download HereWe are Trócaire, an International Non-Governmental Organisation (INGO).
We work with local partners in the world’s most at-risk communities and with people in Ireland to tackle the underlying causes of poverty and injustice and respond to the crises they create.
Together we bring about positive and lasting change for a just world.

Last year Trócaire brought support and relief to 1.49 million people living in poverty, conflict and injustice.
Trócaire is the Irish language word for “compassion”. Since it was founded by the Irish Catholic Bishops in 1973, Trócaire has put the compassion of the Irish people into action.
For over fifty years, we’ve brought about lasting change and transformed the lives of millions across continents. This incredible impact is made possible by the generosity of the Irish people, who support our work through annual initiatives like the Trócaire Box Appeal and by volunteering their time to create a positive difference in the world.
Trócaire is the Irish member of the Caritas Internationalis federation.
Trócaire envisages a just and peaceful world. We support people regardless of culture, ethnicity, gender or religion.
