WELCOME TO WEBSTER CHINA

Webster University in China is more than 3000 alumni educated in China at Webster programs. At any given time there are hundreds of students attending class each week. Webster’s two main partners in China are Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) and the University of Science and Technology China at Chengdu (UESTC). While most students attend the IMBA programs at Shanghai and Chengdu, others have been part of programs with Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), Harbin University, and SUFE’s Joint Undergraduate Program (JUP).

Brief Introduction About Our Director

Richard Foristel has served as Webster University’s China Director since 1997. In 2025, Webster celebrates 29 years of collaboration in China, offering programs in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu through partnerships with SUFE, UESTC, and BLCU. The Joint iMBA Programs have graduated over 5,000 students. Active in the Shanghai American Chamber of Commerce, Foristel has chaired the Early Entrepreneurs and Marketing Committees, served on the Board, and acted as Treasurer. He teaches marketing to MBA and undergraduate students at SUFE and UESTC. Previously, he held communications and marketing roles at McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) and General Foods in St. Louis.
