Ing. Miloslav ČURILLA 

President of the ZCPP SR

Chairman of Board of Directors Mondi SCP, a.s.

He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Košice, where he completed his studies in Power Electrical Engineering between 1981 and 1986. In the years 2011–2014, he successfully obtained a PhD in Mechatronics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the same university. He began his professional career in 1986 as a Manager at VSŽ, a.s. in Košice, where he worked for ten years. From 1996 to 1999, he held a managerial position at METAL TRADE Group, and between 1999 and 2002 he served as Director and Member of the Board of Directors at Transpetrol, a.s. Since 2002, he has been Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors of Eco-Investment, a.s., an investment company based in Prague. At the same time, he serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mondi SCP, a.s. in Ružomberok. In the field of employer representation, he has been active since 2007 as Vice President of the Federation of Employers’ Associations of the Slovak Republic (AZZZ SR). Since 2014, he has also served as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Catholic University in Ružomberok. He is married and has three children.

Ing. Peter BALÁŽ

Vicepresident of the ZCPP SR
Mondi SCP, a.s., Ružomberok

In 2000, he completed his studies at the Chemical and Technological Faculty of STU in Bratislava - Department of Chemical Engineering and Process Management. After graduating from university in 2000, he joined North Slovak pulp and paper mills in Ružomberok, where he worked in various positions that required organizational, technical, theoretical and practical knowledge. He successively worked as a specialist in the departments of Fiber Line and Investments, head of Technology and Laboratories, director of Fiber Line, director of Recovery and Energy, and since 2018 he has held the position of director of Pulp Division at Mondi SCP, a.s.

Ing. Richard ŽIGMUND

Member of the ZCPP SR Board

CEO and Chairman of the Board of Slovak Hygienic Paper Group (SHP Group), Bratislava

He graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava with a degree in Accounting and Auditing (1990-1994) and holds an MBA from Oxford Brookes University (2004-2006). He began his career as an audit supervisor at Andersen and Deloitte in Bratislava (1998-2003). Between 2008 and 2015, he served as the chairman of the supervisory board of CZT Ružomberok, where he led changes to the business model and the company's restructuring. As the CFO of Mondi SCP in Ružomberok (2003-2015), he was responsible for improving company performance, integrating systems, and developing strategic initiatives. From 2011 to 2013, he served as the CEO of Slovwood. Since October 2015, he has held the position of CEO and Chairman of the Board at Slovak Hygienic Paper Group (SHP Group) in Bratislava. He also serves as a board member of Eco-Investment, a.s.

Ing. Ján KUCHARČÍK

Member of the ZCPP SR Board

VP Sales, S&OP Head of the Metsä Tissue Slovakia s.r.o.

He studied at the University of Žilina, Faculty of Management and Economics of Transport and Communications. After completing his studies in 2005 - 2010, he worked as a Technical Manager of Key Customers at Nokia Siemens Networks in Vienna. Since 2010, he has been working in the company Metsä Tissue, Žilina, where he started working as a manager of the development of tissue paper products, later as a director of product development in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. He has held the position of Sales Director and Head of S&OP of Metsä Tissue Slovakia, s.r.o. since 2022.

Ing. Juraj DLHOPOLČEK

General Secretary of the ZCPP SR

Banská Bystrica 

He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Since 1974, he worked at the General Directorate of SLOVCEP in Banská Bystrica, later serving as the head of the energy department in the technical division. He subsequently held the position of head of the department for energy, environmental protection, fire safety, and occupational health. After the dissolution of the General Directorate, he worked from 1989 to 1991 as the head of the retraining department at the Association of Pulp and Paper Industry Enterprises in Banská Bystrica. Following the establishment of the Pulp and Paper Industry Union of the Slovak Republic in 1996, he has served as the General Secretary to this day. In this role, he was the Chairman of the Management Board of the Recycling Fund from 2001 to 2016. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of AZZZ SR and the Chairman of the Sectoral Councils of the pulp and paper and printing industries, for EU projects.

Ing. Štefan BOHÁČEK, PhD.

Chairman of the Audit Committee of the ZCPP SR

Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of VÚPC a.s., Bratislava

In 1987 he graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Technology, STU in Bratislava. After graduating, he joined VÚPC Bratislava. From 1993 to 1995 he worked on various domestic and foreign projects as a project manager. In 1995, he became the head of the Automation and Chemical Engineering Department of the VÚCC. In 1997, he completed his doctoral studies at CHTF STU, defended his dissertation and obtained a doctorate in philosophy - PhD. At the beginning of 1997, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors and appointed to the position of General Director of VÚPC a.s. Bratislava. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for the Development of the Wood, Furniture and Pulp and Paper Industry of the Slovak Republic, Vice-President of the Pulp and Paper Industry Association and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry of the Slovak Republic. He is a member of the Board of Directors of CEPI (Confederation of European Paper Industries). He is a member of the CEPI-ADG.

Ing. Jozef HORÁK

Plant manager Harmanec, SHP GROUP

From 1985 to 1989, he attended the Technical University of Zvolen, Faculty of Wood Science and Technology. After successfully completing his studies at the Technical University of Zvolen, he began his professional career at Harmanec Paper Mills Inc., where he held the position of Assistant to the Production Director. Within the company, he served as a Paper Production Technologist from 1993 to 2002. From 2002, his career continued within SHP Group, where he initially served as an Engineering Manager (from 2002), effectively implementing new technologies and procedures. Later, he applied his expertise as the Chief Production Officer (2007-2015) and Chief Technical Officer (2015-2019). He currently holds the position of Plant Director at SHP Harmanec, where he successfully manages the overall operational activity and strategic development of the company.

Ing. Ľubomír KOTULAČ

Group Operations Develepment Director, SHP GROUP

In 1987, he completed his studies at the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. After finishing his university education, he joined Chemicelulóza Žilina, later moving to Tento, a.s. Subsequently, he worked at Metsä Tissue Slovakia s.r.o., holding various management positions in the production of pulp, processing of waste paper, production of tissue paper, and manufacturing of finished hygiene products. He also served as a mill manager at the sister plant in Krapkowice. He left Metsä Tissue Slovakia s.r.o. from the position of Vice President of Manufacturing in 2022 and in the same year, he joined SHP Group – SHP Slavošovce, a.s., where he serves as the plant director in Slavošovce.

JUDr. Jana ŽIVICKÁ

Head of the General Secretary’s Office and Legal Services, ZCPP SR

She graduated from the Faculty of Law at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. After completing her legal traineeship, she worked as an attorney from 2012 to 2024, focusing on the practical application of legislation in the corporate environment, particularly in commercial and civil law, property rights, and asset management. In 2015, she obtained professional certification as a bankruptcy trustee under the authority of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic, gaining hands-on experience in insolvency proceedings, asset administration, and institutional communication.

Since 2024, she has been serving as a Legal Expert of ZCPP SR, responsible for monitoring European standards and national legislative proposals. She contributes to the drafting of legal opinions in areas related to the business environment, environmental legislation, employer representation, and the updating of internal documents of ZCPP SR, while also supporting communication with professional stakeholders.
