... people dig me"

What can you tell me about the similarities, percussion-wise between this video (starting at about 0:42):

And this video (it's pretty much the same throughout, but there's a point right before the chorus that's a little different, but that's not the part I'm talking about):

They both feel very similar to me, but there's an obvious difference. The first vid seems to be a straight beat, where the second has a very ba-da-da-dump-ba-da-da-dump (rest). They both have that same "driving beat" feeling, to me.

Any suggestions? I'll be at Penn Station ca. 5:45, and am willing to go just about anywhere in the 5 boros that is reasonably accessible by train.

Someone listed a crush on me on XuQa.com. Before I really get started in yet another social networking site, I want to know: who did it? It was to my @mail.rit.edu address. I'll set it up so comments are auto-screened for your protection.

Thanks!
22nd-Aug-2005 06:55 pm - XML/AJAX
Tao Antialiased
I've started a project of building a "Black Belt Family Tree" for Howard's branch of the WMAA (and possibly above?). It will be implemented in AJAX and XML (not just for buzzwords sake, but rather because AJAX is a powerful client-side tool, and XML is the native language of AJAX). To this end, I would also like to make the XML render nice in compatable browsers (I've heard IE cannot do this?) before attacking the harder problem of making a JavaScript client (it also may help me with thinking of the problem more visually. Here is the first XML file. Does anyone know any good online AJAX/XML resources? Any good dead tree ones?

Thanks!
