I haven't posted anything here in a while, but I've done a lot. Frankly, I have to admit that my skills have improved considerably since the last time I posted. There's a lot of stuff here, so I'll put it under a cut, but first check this out. It has to be the best thing I've made so far:

Its an improvement over the little keychain I made. This one is bigger, but moves easier and overall is just more Dragon-y I think. I sold him for a lot of money, but I'm going to make another one in different colors, methinks.

Essentially that's my summer in one post. LOTS OF MAKING THINGS. Hope you like 'em.

So these first three are all color versions of my Leafknot earrings. They're done in Niobium, which makes them hypo-allergenic. So far the purple ones are the most popular.

This, I just made. Its based off a tutorial I found online. Its pretty cool, and it'll help get me in the mood to do some more sculptures.

A couple of new thing going down lately:

First off, I made a facebook page for my art. You can check it out here if you want to see me ramble on about how there are so many tiny rings and such.

Some earrings I made quite a while ago. I need to take a better picture, this one doesn't do them justice. They're made from aluminum and brass, I like the color combination on these.

Yet another bag I made, this one on commission. I like the bright colors on it, and the design came out really well. All in all this is my favorite so far.

Rings! Lots of them, lots of different colors, all aluminum, except the center rings in each of them are made from a stretchy rubber, so they'll stretch to your finger size, making them a lot more comfortable than the ones I've made before. Also, they work great as hair ties I'm told.

Effectively my first commission, my friend Andy's girlfriend, Nicole, wanted a bag like I made for the d&d group, except in pink. Well I did so, except I went a little bit overboard. I improved the the tie design, which is now a standard method in all my bags (added metal ends to the string, making it much easier to open and close, and I put the pull tab on the end).

I've been wanting to make one of these for a while, so I took some of the leftover rings from a few of the bags, and here it is. The sun pattern wasn't originally what I was going for, but I thought about doing it about halfway through, and I like how it turned out. For this one, I just used a store-bought hacky sack, but I'm making a second one from scratch, with a different design on it.

I made this one a little while ago, late one night when I was half asleep. I had a lot of random rings, and a vague idea of what I wanted, and the rest just sort of filled itself in as I went. There's a lot of color in it, but not so much its distracting. It looks big and intricate, but it sits well and is pretty light.

So far, this seems to be my most popular piece on DA. Its simple, all brass (I think the center might be gold plate? Its an old watch case), and more than a few people said they would buy one. Only issue is, I only have the one. I think I'm going to play around with making my own steampunk pieces to put into chainmail.

This month I plan to get an etsy up, something like unto a site with Annie's help, and open up a place for commissions. I'll still post here, but I do more regular updates on my Deviantart page, or my facebook page. Check 'em out if you're so inclined.

I finally picked up a camera for myself, so in between playing around with it, I've also done some more of them chainmail bags I was talking about. That's what the first photo is. The second is something I did a while back. Its an inlaid piece of steel in copper, of the Horde symbol from Warcraft. Its the second inlay I've done, being far more elaborate than the moon I did for mom's necklace. I'm going to try and do a few more here soon.

It honestly didn't take too long to make actually. I currently filled mine with dice, and plan to make a few for my D&D group, all different colors so we can tell them apart.

I just got contacts. For the first time in about thirteen years, I can see without glasses.

So in no real order, here's a list of things that I've been doing:

Writing.
Chainmail.
Working.
Making Beer. <----- I enjoy this one the most.
Consuming Beer.
Playing Vidjamagams.
Hanging out with dudes.
Performing weddings. <----- Only did this once so far.

There's something like, a million of you that I need to get back in touch with. I plan on doing that after writing 50,000 words. Yeah, I'm doing NaNoWriMo. Its coming along too, may post some of it if anyone wants to read it.

But making beer, that's quite a lot of fun. Me, Zach and Andy all got together and took a brewmaking class, and now we each have five gallons of pretty damn awesome beer that's ready for consumption. We got some equipment too, and gonna do some more of the brewing. BEER FOR ALL.

Anyhoo, just had the urge to post here. Take it easy all, I gotta get back to writing.

So for the first time in what seems like forever (and my possibly be), I happen to have a substantial tax rebate coming back to me. Which is bad. Lately I've taken to wandering the web and saying things like, "Yeah, I could just buy that."
