Well, I deleted killboxs_house, on the theory that if we haven't used it in 3 years (and never really used it to begin with), it's kind of just taking up space. I also cleaned up my profile a little, and in doing so, dropped all my already-deleted friends. If you find that I have just deleted you, it was almost certainly an accident, so let me know. I just intended to get rid of deleted accounts.

Still no news on the house. There's a sold sign out in front, but that seems mostly for show. I left a little personal token there in the hopes that future home buyers would assume I've put a voodoo curse on it.

I had the most spectacular, beautiful day on Saturday. I hung out with a couple of old friends from the Zimmerman days, and spent time with, I swear to god, the most beautiful, enchanting children I have ever met. The sun was out (an uncommon treat at this time of year), and I basked a little, and took pictures of the golden light on the way home. It was just completely perfect.

killbox totally twisted my arm and convinced me to do this. ;)

So here's the deal! I want to go skydiving for my 30th birthday! I want it so bad! I also want to bring my sister, and she can't afford it either, so it's going to be expensive. The wonderful news is that sweet Russell is going to shoulder half the cost himself, as my birthday present from him, which is way more than I would have hoped or asked for. But, I'm still broke, at least for another month or so, and it would be extra awesome if I could go skydiving and also not have to be stressed about the cost.

So! IF you were ALREADY planning on getting me a birthday present, and haven't actually gotten me anything yet, please can I ask for this instead? I know everyone's in dire financial straits right now, so I don't for a minute want to solicit money from people who can't afford it, weren't planning on getting me anything, or even just don't like the general idea. I'm not trying to say hey, give me money; I'm just trying to say hey, here's my birthday wish list, and it's only got one thing on it. :)

I'm hoping to do the actual skydiving the weekend before my birthday, the 3rd or 4th. Also I get a DVD of it, which I hope to transform into a video that YOU can see, via the magic of computers!

I did other things, too, such as have an awesome mini-vacation, and survive the holidays with a double-dose of family time (something I am normally unaccustomed to). I will talk about those things later, when I have more time. For now, though, look at my little movie! I'm extremely proud. I shot & directed, Russell starred & edited. Also, I am full up of ideas for more things I want to do now that we have a functional laptop, a digital video camera, and a video editing program. Hooray for new year and more creativity!

And I'm not sure it'll work as well, because I think there are fewer people that I know IRL on my journal now - but I DO read what people write, so it can still be fun!
