The Embassy of the Republic of South Africa wishes to announce that the Office will render Consular, Civic and Immigration services on a temporary basis from Monday, 17 November 2025, at the following address:

Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC) Application Information

We would like to inform all applicants that appointments are not required for the Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC) application process. Applications can be submitted Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 12:00 Consular hours.

Important Information for bank charges

Please note that if you are utilizing South African banks or any other foreign banks than the European banks to make transactions, the Dutch bank is charging a fee of €12,00 for each transaction. Therefore, you are informed that such charges will be included to your application cost (this charge is for the applicant).

There is an additional cost of €12 that must be paid by applicants before we can process your application.

We encourage all applicants to take this information into account when planning their applications.
