Fifteen years of building for the web.

I’m Andreas Sander — most people online know me as andi1984. I work as a senior frontend developer in South-West Germany, where my days are React, TypeScript, and more CSS than people expect from someone with “senior” in the title. I like the parts of the job that stay hard: naming things, deleting things, and making a slow page fast.

I share practical lessons from that work here, from CSS layout and React rendering to TypeScript and developer tooling. My open-source projects turn everyday frustrations into tools other people can use.

Off the keyboard I’m in the garden. Gardening taught me the thing code kept trying to: you can’t sprint your way to something that needs a season.
