The color picker your Mac deserved.

Pick any pixel on any screen, exactly. Copy it in the format your code wants. Turn it into a palette, a scale, a whole design system, and send it to Figma without leaving your Mac.

Try it free for 5 days. Apple silicon required.

One keystroke, the right format.

Hex, RGB, OKLCH, SwiftUI, Tailwind and thirty more. Dabbit remembers which one each app wants.

Every pick lands somewhere.

Picks become palettes, palettes become scales and whole design systems, light and dark.

Your colors, above whatever you're in.

The palette you're working with, floating over any app. Hover for the value, click to copy.

A window for the whole system.

Palettes hold sub-palettes, and every sub-palette is a scale from 50 to 900. Select across them, move colors between them, copy all as OKLCH.

One color in, a scale out.

Eleven steps from a single seed, built in OKLCH, each with its contrast against black and white text. Then a whole system from a few.

Nothing you picked is lost.

Every pick is kept with its time and the app it came from. Copy it again in any format, drag it into a palette, or save a selection as one.

Xcode gets SwiftUI. The browser gets hex.

Turn on Smart format and a pick copies in whatever the app in front expects. Two rules come built in; add one for any app you have open.

A few colors in, a system out.

Up to six seeds become eight, twelve or sixteen hues of ten shades on one lightness curve, so every 500 sits at the same lightness and contrasts the same way.

Know it reads before you ship it.

Select a color and the inspector finds the nearest colors already in your library and grades it as text and as background, WCAG and APCA.

Figma plugin

Palettes into Figma, no retyping.

Included with the app. Get it on Figma Community

Your palettes, already in Figma.

With the plugin installed, every palette in Dabbit is in Figma the moment you open it. No export, no file. Open one and add it as variables, as color styles or as a swatch sheet.

Variables, named the way you named them.

A palette becomes a variable collection, each sub-palette a group, each step a variable. With Dark selected, the collection gets a second mode.

A swatch sheet, drawn for you.

Insert Swatch Sheet lays the palette out on the canvas, tiles with names and hex codes, or the detailed version with a lightness ramp, RGB, HSL and text contrast. Rows or columns.

FAQ

Before you ask.

Does it need special permissions?

The loupe needs Screen Recording, like every picker that reads pixels. If you'd rather not grant it, Dabbit can use Apple's built-in sampler instead; you lose the magnifier and pixel-exact values, nothing else.

Does anything leave my Mac?

Your colors and palettes never do. Dabbit talks to the network for two things, checking for updates and validating your license key. The Figma plugin talks to the app over localhost only.

Is it a subscription?

No. From $19, once, for 1, 2 or 3 of your Macs, and the app is yours for good. Every release for 12 months is included; after that, the version you have keeps working, and $10 adds another 12 months of releases whenever one is worth it to you. Nothing renews by itself.

Can I move my license to a new Mac?

Yes. Deactivate this Mac… on the old one, activate on the new one. If the old Mac is gone and you can't, write to support and it gets released. Want it on more Macs at once than you bought? Another license for the new Mac does it; the app takes a different key on each.

Do I need the Figma plugin?

Only if you use Figma. The app is complete without it. With it, your palettes appear in Figma as you make them, go in as variables, styles or a swatch sheet, and colors come back the other way. It talks to the app over localhost, nothing else.

What if it isn't for me?

The trial is there to find out. If you bought and it doesn't do what you bought it for, email within 14 days and you'll be refunded.

Which Macs?

Apple silicon only (M1 and later), on macOS 14 or later. There is no Intel build.
