Dynamic CPT now includes built-in Archive Templates, customize how your post type’s archive page looks, right from the plugin, no coding needed.

Archive Template #

Access your WordPress dashboard and follow the steps.

STEP 1: Create a Query #

• Navigate to Dynamic Engine and go to Query Builder
• Create a query with ptoper title,query type, post type, etc. to organize the archive template

NOTE: We’ve previously created a post type: Agent. If you don’t have any, then create a post type now.

STEP 2: Create a Card Template #

• Go to Listings
• Create a Card template: Agent card

Inside the card, we’ve taken a blog card. You choose whichever card you like. Then you have to customize the card. You decide how it should look on the front end. For example, you set the data, change the colors, add the author and more. You can add more fields too based on your needs.

Similarly, from Listings, create a grid template: Grid for agent

Now, set up the grid template.

• Listing Template: Agent card
• Data Source: Tick mark the Saved Query option then choose Agent Query from the dropdown
• Update Grid

STEP 3: Create a Archive Page Template #

Finally, create the Archive Page. If you’re building it with the block editor, select Gutenberg (Block Editor). This lets you design the archive layout using Dynamic Engine’s blocks.

Now you can edit the template with Gutenberg. Look for the Dynamic Engine’s RDCFE listing grid block. Drag and drop it to the editor.

Select grid for agent from the dropdown.

You can also adjust the data source. With the Override Saved Query option, replace the listing’s saved query for this embed only, if needed. Check the Embed section for the shortcode ([rdcfe_listing id="22"]) if you want to use this grid elsewhere with a classic-editor shortcode.
