Adult, child, concession, early bird: each with its own price, capacity, sale window and per-order limit.
An event is rarely one price. Adult and child, standing and seated, early bird and full.
Each type on its own terms
A ticket type has a price and can have a capacity of its own, or share the event's. It can go on sale and come off sale on dates you set, which is how early bird ends without anybody remembering to end it.
A per-order limit stops one person taking the whole room.
Free tickets are still tickets
Set the price to nothing and the booking works exactly the same way: a place is held, a confirmation goes out, and the person appears on the door list. There is no separate free-event mode to configure.
