Extension.dev uses cookies and similar things (like local storage and analytics ids) to run the platform and understand how it’s used.

What I use

• Essential. Needed to sign you in and keep your session secure. These can’t be turned off.
• Analytics. Help me see what’s used and improve it. These run through PostHog and Google Tag Manager. One of them, extensiondev_anon_join, is a single-use cookie that links what you generated before you signed in to your new account, so those earlier generations show up as yours. It holds only a one-way hash of your anonymous session and a timestamp, never the session itself and no personal data. It lasts ten minutes, is read once at sign-in and then deleted, and is not set at all when you turn analytics off.

Your choice

Where the law requires it, I ask before setting analytics cookies, and you can change your mind any time. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working.
