Hazardous Materials
The Hazardous Materials Office, within the Fire Licensing, Permitting, Prevention and Data Bureau administers Nevada's hazardous materials reporting and permitting programs, The office supports regulatory compliance, emergency planning, and first-responder access to critical chemical information through HazConnect and related program resources.
Fire Protection Engineering
The Fire Protection Engineering Bureau reviews plans, specifications, and fire protection systems for compliance with applicable fire and life-safety requirements. The bureau provides plan review, inspection, and technical resources to support safe construction and development throughout Nevada.
Training and Certification Resources
The Fire Service Training Bureau supports Nevada's fire and emergency response personnel through professional training, testing, and certification programs. The bureau provides course schedules, training manuals and forms, instructor and student certification resources, and access to state and National Fire Academy training opportunities.
Compliance
The Certificates of Compliance Office coordinates required fire and life-safety inspections for regulated facilities. A certificate is issued after a facility demonstrates compliance with applicable requirements and may be required to support facility licensing or lawful occupancy.
