About me

Hi, I'm Paweł.

I'm a web developer, and most of what I've built over the years has been open source. The biggest of those projects is Tabler, a free dashboard UI kit on top of Bootstrap. Developers use it to put together admin panels and web apps without having to design every screen themselves. Next to it I draw Tabler Icons, a set of over 6,000 SVG icons under the MIT license. You've probably run into them somewhere already.

When I started Tabler in 2018 I honestly didn't expect much. Since then the repository has passed 41,000 stars, and Tabler Icons has passed 21,000. Both are used by people and companies I'd never have reached on my own, and watching that happen is still my favourite part of the whole thing.

• unstroke, a small tool that converts stroked SVG into filled outlines using a real boolean union. It's the step you need before icons can go into a font or a PDF.

Why sponsor me

Sponsorship lets me spend actual working hours on these projects, rather than fitting them in after everything else is done. In practice that means new icons every week, pull requests that get reviewed and merged sooner, and better documentation. It also covers the kind of work that rarely gets sponsored on its own, like accessibility, dark mode and build tooling.

What keeps me going is seeing my work show up in other people's products. I enjoy working through hard problems with other developers and looking for a cleaner way to solve them, and open source is where that tends to happen for me. There are more projects in progress, and sponsorship is what gives me the room to finish them.
