hyperplane follows a hub-and-spoke model with on-demand permission grants. The monitoring daemon, hyperplane-client, only executes a diagnostic command when you explicitly allow it, and only ever sends back the result of that one command.
Sage operates under your permission and control, leaving a human always accountable for every action taken. Turn on zero-trust re-auth and every sensitive action re-checks your current group membership against your identity provider.

why this exists
hyperplane started as a small project, looking to easily integrate AI into a homelab with full context and awarenes of the environment. It quickly became extremely useful for managing and troubleshooting VMs across the fleet, and the project has grown from there. It's still in early development, but I do genuinely hope that it can be useful to those who want an easier time managing their PVE homelab, with or without, AI.
