Coffee stuff
My friends threw me a send-off party after I left my job, and we did a little gift exchange. I put coffee beans on my wish list, because of course I did. Ended up walking away with five bags. Five. I’ll be rotating through all of them like a very happy problem to have.
Currently brewing with Plain Sight’s Bonfire, a Guatemala-Brazil blend built for everyday drinking. It leans into toast, roasted cacao nibs, and a soft oat-like sweetness, with low acidity and no sharp edges. Works well as a pour over or espresso, and holds its structure without going thin or overly bright. My first espresso pull was rough, honestly. But I’ve been dialing it in the past couple days so lots of testing, lots of adjusting. Getting there.
Making
Still building out my Coffee, Photos, and Links, with more being added to each over time. My Weeknotes is on hold for now. Over on my portfolio site, I recently wrapped up the Gear page and I’m slowly filling out the rest of the Playground from there.
Work
After two years at TechnologyAdvice, I’ve decided to move on. It was a great run. I learned a lot from some genuinely talented editors and worked on content I’m proud of. Taking a breather for now, but I’m actively looking for my next thing. If you need a video editor for your content, podcast, or anything in between, please email me!
Sobriety
I am seven (8) eight sober this year. Being sober has been one of the best things that ever happened to me. I must admit that it saved me a lot of money over the past four years, and it changed the way I live. My lifestyle has changed since then, and my family and friends have been very supportive, especially my partner. My rating of good restaurants is usually based on whether they offer mocktails or not. In my city, so far there are only four restaurants that offer mocktails. There is a possibility that I will make a project about this.

This is my now page. It’s the place to find out what I’m interested in and doing recently. Inspired by Derek Sivers.
