What about the other social media?
I do have accounts on Instagram, TikTok, X and the rest. I just choose not to use them, because I don't support the direction they're going. They were made for people to enjoy; now they're advertising and propaganda with a feed attached. I'd rather be somewhere I can actually read interesting things.
There's also the data. Everything posted on the big platforms feeds training sets, and it's not only scientists doing the feeding. I realised I'm not going to die if I don't follow the crowd.
