Academy Award-nominated actor, writer and filmmaker Jesse Eisenberg headlined this yearβs The Human Factor Speaker Series, which took place in Stewart Theatre on Friday. The event showcased how stories connect us, shape us and sustain our humanity.
Dean Deanna Dannels led the conversation, which explored this yearβs theme, βPreserving Human Stories.β Funded by private donations, the event brought the theme to life through conversations, music, film and voices from the NC State community.
βKeep telling your tales and writing your own narratives, and never underestimate the power of a story to change the world, for the better,β Dean Dannels said.

@NASA astronaut Christina Koch (@astro_christina) visited NC State, her alma mater, last month for a celebration of her return from the Artemis II mission. During her visit, NC State announced that Engineering Building II would be renamed Christina Hammock Koch Hall. π
Just a few hours later, Raina Gandhi, a student in @ncstateengr and @ncstatechass, interviewed Koch inside Hunt Library.

Romanticizing bricks: our favorite pastime. π§±
ICY(somehow)MI: After three years, the Brickyard has reopened to pedestrians. π The refreshed, revamped and re-ramped space is now one of the most sustainable places on campus β upgraded with 435,000 water-permeable bricks and a new subsurface of gravel. The old bricks will be used in other construction projects across campus.
