Mark Harris

With over 30 years of experience in engineering design, Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to every project he gets involved in. He’s seen pretty much every design challenge you could throw at him, and has probably got a story to go with most of them!

Mark has developed a real passion for exciting, collaborative design solutions, bringing creative ideas to the table while always keeping a careful eye on the detail. His experience also means he’s ideally placed to oversee projects from start to finish, helping to steer the team, spot potential challenges early and make sure the bigger picture never gets lost along the way.

Alex Harris

Alex brings a youthful energy and curiosity to his work - and a willingness to give pretty much anything a go!

He enjoys the variety of projects he gets stuck into here at SOLID, always keen to learn, try something new and get involved. But it’s our heritage and conservation projects that really get him excited. Alex particularly enjoys the challenge of developing modern, practical engineering solutions while remaining sensitive to the history and character of the building.

So, whether it’s an unusual project, a tricky detail or a building with a few hundred years of stories behind it, Alex is always up for the challenge, and probably wondering what we can try next!

Tom Roberts

Tom takes a bold and, dare we say, ballsy approach to design - but always with a pragmatic head on his shoulders and a keen eye on complexity and cost.

More analytical and methodical in his approach, Tom likes to get under the skin of a project, work out exactly what makes it tick and then find the smartest way to make the design work. He really ‘gets’ design ambition and, rather than simply making it happen, has a knack for adding to it, making him a bit of an architect’s dream!

With a careful eye for detail and a brain that likes to work things through properly, Tom brings the perfect balance of ambition, logic and practicality to our projects.

Sebastian Rogalski

We imported Seb all the way from Cape Town, South Africa… and thankfully, he’s been worth the shipping costs!

A real all-rounder, Seb works across both our civil and structural projects, although it’s fair to say civil engineering is where his heart really lies. As head of our civils team, his excellent management and organisational skills have also seen him take on the role of Project Manager - keeping projects on track, teams organised and the rest of us suitably informed.

Kim Murray

With an eagle eye for detail, Kim has been keeping our finances in check for quite some time now as our Finance Manager. Correctly defined project administration is key to this success. 

By now, many of our clients will know Kim well, as she’s often behind the scenes making sure everything adds up and runs smoothly. She’s a familiar face at SOLID and an absolute whizz when it comes to keeping us all financially organised and compliant with legislation.
