After coming home from the shelter with Meghanne in February 2022, he quickly settled into a routine of chaotic evil, turning her life (and condo) upside down.
The Tiny Dancer: Marty
Marty, a pineapple conure with feathers the colour of sunshine and mischief in his eyes, was never just a pet. He was a force of nature contained in a four-ounce body — an extraordinary soul who rewrote every rule about what a bird could be and, in doing so, rewrote the story of the family who loved him.
A heart and soul horse: Caz
Caz, a beautiful Canadian Warmblood, is more than just a horse — he is the heart and soul of Karina’s life. From the somewhat grumpy, food-motivated brute of his younger years to a gentle, laid-back retiree, Caz has been a constant source of comfort and joy in Karina’s life.
The Blanket Baroness: Rosie
Rosie, a spirited Labrador mix, joined her family in Hubbards, Nova Scotia on August 21, 2024, filling their home with an unmatched blend of love and boundless energy. Her arrival was a heartfelt surprise for the kids and was met with tears of joy.
The tiny shadow: Macy Ella
From the moment she entered Megan’s life on May 24, 2014, Macy Ella, a beautiful long-haired mixed cat, was a pillar of affection and unwavering loyalty. Found as a stray, Macy quickly proved that her spirit was anything but.
“Chaos with a tongue”: Rex
Rex is a Black Lab and German Shepherd mix who arrived home in 2025 like a joyful whirlwind. Born on May 25, 2025, and adopted just weeks later, Rex quickly found his footing among his six human siblings and canine sister, Rosie.
The gentle guardian: Abby Star Swaine
Abby Star Swaine, a loving and smart Doberman/Lab mix, brought immeasurable joy and laughter to the Swaine family for 13.5 years.

Born on April 15, 2007, this playful, snuggly and endearingly mischievous dog quickly became the heart of the household.
