9th to 11th graders, apply to the (free!) AddisCoder 2027 4-week summer camp by the December 31st deadline to learn algorithms and programming. Teaching assistant volunteers can also apply. Camp dates: to be determined, 4 weeks in summer 2026. Link: addiscoder.com/#apply

Congrats to the Ethiopian teams at the Pan African Informatics Olympiad (Rwanda) and Pan African Math Olympiad (Ivory Coast). PAIO: 6/6 team members were AC alums, and the coach was an AC 2025 TA. PAMO: 2/6 team members were AC alums. The alums brought home 7 medals!

Matei Zaharia, Professor at UC Berkeley and Cofounder/CTO of Databricks, has won the ACM Prize in Computing, donating the $250k Infosys prize to AddisCoder. We are extremely grateful for this gift, which we will use to advance our mission of increasing access in computer science.
