What is Vivipilot?

Vivipilot is an AI motion graphics editor. Describe your idea in plain language and it builds an editable composition with scenes, text, shapes, timing and animation. Refine the project, then export a video. Use the free Desktop app or create in your browser with Web Studio.

Can I edit the video after AI generation?

Yes. Scenes, text, shapes, timing and animation remain editable in your Vivipilot project. Select an element and change its properties, or ask the Agent for a targeted revision. You can update a headline or product detail without regenerating the whole video.

Is Vivipilot limited to 8-second video clips?

No. Vivipilot creates an editable, multi-scene timeline instead of a single fixed-duration clip. You can build longer explainers, extend scene durations, add or remove scenes, reorder the story and refine the timing before export.

What is the Vivipilot Agent?

The Vivipilot Agent is the AI that reads your instructions and builds or modifies your composition. It works in Desktop and Web Studio. Free Desktop uses your own AI provider key; paid plans include managed AI usage.

Is Vivipilot Desktop free, and does it require an AI key?

Vivipilot Desktop is free to use with your own supported AI provider key, also called bring your own key or BYOK. You pay that provider separately for AI usage. Free Desktop includes local editing and exports up to 720p at 30fps. Paid plans add managed AI, higher export limits and cloud features.

Which AI providers can I use with Desktop?

Desktop supports OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Ollama and OpenAI-compatible APIs. Configure a supported model in Desktop settings. API usage is separate from consumer chat subscriptions, so a chat subscription does not replace an API key.

What is the difference between Desktop and Web Studio?

Desktop is the app you install on macOS, Windows or Linux, with local projects and rendering. Web Studio is the editor in your browser, using managed AI on a paid plan. Cloud features provide project storage, sync, history and sharing. Connecting a local Desktop project to those features is optional.

Do my local projects and prompts stay private?

Local Desktop projects, assets and renders stay on your computer unless you connect the project or use cloud features. In local mode with your own AI key, generation requests go to your selected provider under its terms and privacy policy. Connected cloud features process the information needed to provide managed AI, storage, sync and sharing.

Where is my AI provider key stored?

Desktop stores configured provider credentials locally in your operating system's secure credential store. Provider keys are not included in project files, previews or exports and are not sent to Vivipilot in local BYOK mode.

Can I add music, sound effects and voiceover?

Yes. Web Studio supports separate tracks for motion sound effects, background music and voiceover. Review the narration for each scene before recording, then adjust each track's timing, volume and fades in the Audio panel. You can mute or remove audio independently. Music and voiceover generation currently support videos up to three minutes and use additional credits.

Can I export MP4 or a video with a transparent background?

Yes. MP4, WebM and GIF exports are available, with free Desktop capped at 720p at 30fps. Pro includes transparent WebM up to 1080p, and Studio supports transparent WebM up to 4K. Higher resolutions and transparent video exports depend on your plan.

Which Desktop platforms are currently supported?

Vivipilot Desktop is available for macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows (via Microsoft Store), and Linux (x86_64).
