In 2025, White Plains Hospital received Comprehensive Heart Attack Center Certification (CHAC) from the Joint Commission. Achieving this quality designation means that our Hospital has met the rigorous standards for providing consistent and optimal treatment for patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) – including ST-elevated myocardial infarction (STEMI), non-ST-elevated myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), and unstable angina – and complications related to ACS, such as cardiac arrest and cardiogenic shock.

In 2026, White Plains Hospital earned The Joint Commission’s Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification—the highest level of stroke care accreditation awarded in the United States. The designation recognizes the Hospital’s ability to deliver the most advanced, evidence-based care for patients experiencing complex strokes, with 24/7 access to specialized neuroscience services. This recognition comes just two years after the Hospital's designation as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, highlighting the rapid growth of its Neurosciences program.
