Very cool! We are doing something similar in Miden. The VM is already migrated to BLAKE3, and we'll have this released in the next few weeks.
Interestingly enough, the performance degradation when moving off of Poseidon2 wasn't as dramatic as I thought. Overall, the impact was

Exciting! v0.17 will be the mainnet release :)
As usual, there are tons of things in this release, but I'll highlight just two:
- Miden's fee model is really unique and lays the groundwork for very exciting functionality (fee sponsorships, built-in multi-token fees).
- The
Super excited about this! This is critical for operator privacy which is compatible with forensic decryption. We'll have a bigger blog post describing how this fits into the overall Miden architecture soon.
