In my experience, crypto policy almost never moves the market how people expect. Conventional wisdom was that price would follow Clarity’s success or failure. Investors worked so hard to predict the vote thinking it would give them an edge. Here we are, Clarity dead, market up.

CFTC is not playing around. Wasting no time, yesterday they filed what appears to be a proposed rule for interagency review entitled “Regulation Crypto Asset Transactions and Regulation Crypto Asset Markets.” Things are going to move fast in DC. reginfo.gov/public/do/eoRe…

This guidance is a great example of the CFTC's innovation agenda at work. Front-end interfaces offer a better user experience and make American companies more competitive without losing any of the benefits of CFTC regulation. Onchain finance is coming to U.S. futures markets 📈

We didn't get Clarity this week, but we did get certainty about the path forward for crypto regulation in the United States. The CFTC is the right regulator for crypto market structure, and this particular CFTC is more than up to the challenge. Exciting days ahead.
