I was looking for a good tripod and my first choice was PD, but the price made me think hard and long since the PD aluminium tripod costs almost 35k and its carbon fibre version costs 50k. The I came across the Ulanzi and it looked INSPIRED from PD. Read a lot of reviews and with some hesitation bought it. To my surprise it is almost 95% like the PD with 1/5th the price. The quality is sufficient and I’m quite impressed with the overall aesthetics. PD is more compact and has really great fit and finish, but Ulanzi gets the job done decently. I still hope to get the PD carbon fibre tripod someday (when I have money to spare) but till then I’ll continue using the Ulanzi

The I came across the Ulanzi and it looked INSPIRED from PD. Read a lot of reviews and with some hesitation bought it. To my surprise it is almost 95% like the PD with 1/5th the price. The quality is sufficient and I’m quite impressed with the overall aesthetics. PD is more compact and has really great fit and finish, but Ulanzi gets the job done decently.
I still hope to get the PD carbon fibre tripod someday (when I have money to spare) but till then I’ll continue using the Ulanzi
