The Command Code Desktop App includes project-aware chat, live tool activity, Files, Changes, a native terminal, browser previews, design mode, and Git workflows. Download the installer for your operating system from the official GitHub Release.

Open the DMG, drag Command Code to Applications, then launch it from Applications.

Sign in.
Use your Command Code account. The agent runtime is included, so the CLI is not required.

Choose the repository or folder itself. Git is only required for branches, commits, and pushes.

Keep Ask for approval selected for your first task. Use Plan mode when you want investigation without edits.

Installer security
The macOS release is signed and notarized, and the Linux package is signed. The Windows preview installer may be unsigned and can show a Windows security warning. Only use installers from the official GitHub Releases page, and do not disable operating-system security globally.
