Commons Network is a think tank and collaboratory for the new economy and society.

As a collaboratory hub and centre of expertise in the fields of commons, cooperative economy and democratic technology, we connect knowledge with action: we share expertise, build concrete alternatives and influence policy to bring about transitions and structurally change the system.

We believe that a caring, democratic and resilient society is only possible when we organise the economy in a fundamentally different way, more collectively, more locally, and with greater room for solidarity and ownership. This requires moving away from dominant individualistic and market-driven thinking, and embracing a different logic instead: one that focuses less on efficiency and profit, and more on cooperation, sustainability and social cohesion.
