Inspiration
An existing project where people can colour in fish to be added to a virtual fish tank—and our love for animals, nature, and doodling.
What it does
Anyone can draw a doodle, which gets identified and added to a virtual park, according to what kind of object it is (for the most part).
How we built it
We pieced together our different domains of expertise and senses of humour.
Challenges we ran into
Settling on an initial tech stack, classifications having low confidence at one point, needing to update the data schema a few times to adjust to new specs
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Deployment, funny drawings, and we've personally become more artistic
What we learned
"Confidence" is just a nicer word for "delusion". Our best ideas come when we go on walks. Team spirit means everything to the enjoyability of a hackathon. Your physical environment makes a huge difference to the hackathon experience—SummerHacks was BEAUTIFUL.
What's next for ScribblePark
Add more landscapes like the dessert, the arctic, and the York Region Administrative Centre (our workplace).
