Open-source Plannotator opens code changes in a local browser review interface. Inspect the diff, annotate exact lines or ranges, suggest replacements, and return structured feedback to the coding agent working on the change.

Review local changes

Run plannotator review inside a changed project. Plannotator detects supported Git, GitButler, Jujutsu, and Perforce workspaces and opens the comparison in your browser. Use the local change review guide for provider defaults, comparison controls, and feedback behavior. Local review does not commit, merge, or deploy code. Approve returns the configured approval message to the active agent session. Send Feedback returns your annotations and overall comments.

Review pull requests and merge requests

Open a GitHub pull request or GitLab merge request with the supported Plannotator command. The local interface shows the hosted change and can collect supported screenshots, video, HTML, and Markdown from the review conversation. GitHub or GitLab remains the system of record for hosted comments, review status, and the merge decision. GitHub documents the underlying pull request review model. Use optional AI review

Plannotator can launch configured review agents to analyze a change. Treat their findings as review leads. Verify each claim against the current code and revision before acting on it. The agent reviews guide explains configuration, scope, and limits.
