		<description>ABOUt

Future Bubblers originally launched in 2015 as a talent discovery and development programme from Brownswood Music, founded by globally respected DJ, broadcaster, and tastemaker Gilles Peterson, with support from Arts Council England and PRS Foundation.

Now in 2025, we’re proud to be celebrating ten years of Future Bubblers - ten years of talent development, first-hand experience, and invaluable feedback from the groundbreaking artists and creatives we’ve supported. All of this has helped shape the next chapter of our journey as we relaunch with fresh energy and vision.

We are now moving forward as Future Bubblers Academy, a reimagined programme with a renewed focus on developing both emerging music makers and behind-the-scenes industry talent. With Gilles Peterson’s legacy of championing boundary-pushing music at its core, Future Bubblers Academy remains committed to barrier-free access, regional representation, and empowering the next generation of UK music innovators.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
At Brownswood Recordings, we are deeply committed to minimising our environmental impact and promoting sustainability in every aspect of our operations. We recognise our responsibility to safeguard the planet for future generations. Our environmental policy encompasses a holistic approach to environmental conservation, incorporating the following core principles:

1. Sustainable Manufacturing and Distribution
We are dedicated to minimising the environmental impact of our manufacturing processes for vinyl and CDs. We will work with responsible manufacturing partners who prioritise energy efficiency and employ environmentally-friendly practices. Additionally, we will explore innovative and sustainable distribution methods to reduce emissions associated with shipping and logistics.

2. Reducing Carbon Footprint
We commit to actively reducing our carbon footprint across all our activities. This includes optimising energy usage, reducing waste, and minimising emissions from transportation and facilities. We will continually assess and update our strategies to ensure they align with the latest advancements in sustainable practices.

3. Investing in Energy Efficiency
We will invest in energy-efficient technologies throughout our Brownswood Office to minimise our energy consumption. Our aim is to utilise energy resources more efficiently, thereby reducing our overall environmental impact.

4. Transitioning to Renewable Energy
We are committed to transitioning to 100% renewable energy sources for our operations. This includes sourcing renewable electricity and exploring on-site renewable energy solutions to power our offices and facilities.

5. Assessing Equipment and Reducing Emissions
We will conduct regular assessments of our equipment and facilities to identify opportunities to replace natural gas equipment with electric alternatives. This proactive approach aligns with our goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote cleaner energy use.

6. Utilising Recycled Materials for Printing
We prioritise the use of recycled and eco-friendly materials for all our printing needs, including album covers, inserts, and promotional materials. By minimising our reliance on new materials, we contribute to reducing waste and conserving natural resources.

7. Scope 3 Emissions Reduction
We are committed to measuring and reducing our Scope 3 emissions, which encompass indirect emissions from sources such as transportation, purchased goods, and employee commuting. By addressing these emissions, we aim to comprehensively manage our overall environmental impact.

8. Community Engagement and Advocacy
We will actively engage with our artists, employees, fans, and communities to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices. We will support and participate in environmental initiatives, inspiring collective action for a better and more sustainable world.

9. Continuous Improvement and Accountability
We will set measurable environmental targets, regularly monitor our progress, and report transparently on our performance. Our policies and strategies will be subject to periodic review to ensure they remain relevant and effective.

By adhering to this environmental policy, Brownswood Recordings is committed to leading by example, promoting environmental responsibility, and contributing to a sustainable future for all.

		<description>FAQ

How do I apply to be a Future Bubbler?

The application shouldn’t take too long, no more than 15 minutes - we just ask a few basic questions to help us get to know you and your practice better, and an opportunity to upload relevant links. &#38;nbsp;

What is the deadline for submissions?

Applications for the latest round of Future Bubblers closes on Sunday 30th August, 10PM.
Is there an age limit to apply?Currently we are accepting applications from individuals aged 18-30. This age bracket is something we are reviewing in our next funding application.
What will happen if I am selected?

We’ll be selecting up to 10 Future Bubblers – a mix of emerging artists including singers, rappers, spoken word poets, producers, beat makers, musicians, as well as people interested in creative technology, and those looking to build careers behind the scenes in the industry. If you’re selected, we’ll be in touch to arrange a video call at a time that suits you. We’ll chat about where you’re at creatively and start thinking about which mentor would be the best fit to support your development.

What do I get as a selected candidate?

As the programme unfolds, you’ll get access to workshops, mentoring, live music opportunities, and the chance to build a better understanding of how the music industry works, and how it can work for you. You’ll have support from the Future Bubblers team, your mentor, and a wider network of creatives who’ve been through the journey. We also encourage everyone in the group to connect and collaborate, some of the best stuff happens when you build together.

I’m a signed artist, can I apply?

Unfortunately not. Future Bubblers is all about grass roots music. Creatives with no real previous music industry experience or exposure are the project’s priority. Just because you don’t have a manager, an agent, even a soundcloud doesn’t mean you aren’t making perfect Future Bubblers’ vibes. This is more about potential rather than previous experience.

When will I find out if I am successful?

We will notify the successful candidates by mid-September 2026. You will be contacted by email so please ensure that you provide us with correct and complete contact details.

What happens if I don’t get selected?

Just because you aren’t selected as a “Future Bubbler” doesn’t mean that you cannot come along for the ride. There are many ways for you to remain part of the Future Bubblers story and benefit from the resources and opportunities. We will add all applicants to our mailing list and keep them up to date with local Future Bubblers activities and events. Please inform us if you do not wish to be added to the mailing list

If you still have more questions, feel free to email esmee@futurebubblers.com and we will come back to you as soon as we can!
