Code4NYC is a student-led organization dedicated to providing free, high-quality coding education to middle school students in underserved communities. Through small-group tutoring, mentorship, and hands-on learning, we empower the next generation of innovators with essential computer science skills.
Code4NYC runs both in-person and virtual coding programs in various programming languages designed for middle school students across NYC.
Our programs focus on:
- Programming fundamentals
- Hands-on coding projects
- Problem-solving and computational thinking
- Mentorship from student instructors
Classes are interactive and project-based, allowing students to build real applications while learning core programming concepts.
Since its launch in 2024, Code4NYC has:
- Taught 210+ students
- Delivered 1,200+ hours of instruction
- Reached students across 85+ schools in New York City
