(Scriptures and Life Talks) was started in Fresno in 2023 by young adults who wanted a different kind of faith discussion group and is not connected to the group at Southern Adventist University. This S.A.L.T. (Scriptures And Life Talks) was founded separately in California and has its own vision, structure, and approach to discussions. It’s its own movement, separate from anything else with the same name.

What does S.A.L.T. stand for, and how is this different?

S.A.L.T. stands for Scriptures and Life Talks, inspired by Matthew 5:13, where Jesus calls us the salt of the earth. The focus isn’t just learning scripture—it’s applying it to real life. The difference is that it’s not a lecture or sermon, but an open discussion where real conversations happen. People can share their experiences, ask honest questions, and grow together in a way that’s practical and personal.

S.A.L.T. started in a parking lot when Jasmanny, Camille, and Dominique wanted a Bible study that wasn’t boring. The first session? Outside a taco restaurant in Fresno! Since then, it’s grown, with the biggest young adult turnout at 32 people in one session! It's also helped people who never spoke up in groups before find their voice and confidence.

Can I find my future husband/wife at S.A.L.T.?

Well, we’re not saying S.A.L.T. is a dating service, but… if you’re out here refining yourself, growing, and becoming the best version of YOU—let’s just say, you’re bound to attract somebody eventually.
