Samifer's Transformative Works Policy

This is a full, detailed version of my transformative works policy regarding my art and fic.
Please refer to it to know what you can and cannot do with my works.

Regarding both general art & fic:

I give blanket permission for anyone to:

• Save and reproduce my work for private use (using art as a phone wallpaper, printing fic to read, etc.)
• Create transformative works using my work as inspiration (fanart, recursive fic, etc.) as long as I am properly credited/made aware

I would prefer to be asked permission directly to:

• Remix my work, whether fic or art

I do not give permission to:

• Use any of my work for NFTs or anything crypto-related
• Use any of my work for machine-learning, AI, LLM, etc. no matter the purpose
• Use any of my work for commercial purposes

Regarding art specifically:

I give blanket permission for anyone to:

• Use my art as is as icons, profile pictures, banners etc with credit
• Repost my art on websites I am not otherwise present on (barring exceptions, see below) with credit

I would prefer to be asked permission directly to:

• Translate my art directly on the picture to repost it with credit

I do not give permission to:

• Use or repost my art on Twitter/X or Pinterest even with credit
• Repost my art on websites I am present on (links available above) unless commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. even with credit
• Edit my art in any manner other than cropping unless commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. even with credit
• Use my art for roleplay or Character AI even with credit

Regarding fic specifically:

I give blanket permission for anyone to:

• Translate my fic, except French→English or English→French
• Podfic my fic, though I would appreciate Lysandre's name being pronounced the French way

I would prefer to be asked permission directly to:

• Translate my fic from French→English or English→French
• Use elements/headcanons lifted directly from my fic (such as specific nicknames, made-up places, etc.) in fic otherwise unrelated to mine

Regarding commissioned work, gifts, trades, etc. specifically:

I give blanket permission for the commissioner, giftee, tradee, or otherwise owner of the character(s) (if applicable) to:

• Use the commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. art as an icon, banner, wallpaper, etc. online with proper credit
• Share and/or repost the commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. work online anywhere with proper credit
• Make minor edits to the commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. art, such as resizing, cropping, or minor color adjustments

I would prefer to be asked permission directly to:

• Make major edits to the commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. work
• Manufacture merch for private use with the commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. work

Regarding web content specifically:

I give blanket permission for anyone to:

• Take and modify my CSS/HTML with or without credit (at your own risks and perils lmao)
• Use graphics distributed on my websites and described as "free to use" preferably with credit

I do not give permission to:

• Redistribute my CSS/HTML for others to use as layouts/bases (mostly because it's not that good tbh)
• Redistribute my graphics for others to use (as part of a bundle/compilation for example)

Further information:

• If posting works based on/inspired by my own on Archive of Our Own, please make use of the "Related work/Inspired by" option.
• When crediting my art, please either 1) tag or mention my username on the platform you are using my art on (e.g. @lysandre.me on Bluesky, @insecateur on Tumblr, etc.) or 2) link to or give in full the URL of my current website hub (i.e. https://lysandre.me).
