I'm torn about whether I should pour money into SO2 balloons. Also curious what's stopping a Musk, Besos, or even a @beffjezos from raising some money and saying "lfg, try to stop me".

Global warming is accelerating There's only one thing we can do today to delay it before we burn, enough to solve the pbm: SO2 injection Some ppl are squeamish about it but they shouldn't be. SO2 is so obviously the right solution that we should do it now. Here's why:

Also, if you run a home server: they have hardware watchdogs. Meaning they can restart themselves even when the kernel freezes. Ask your AI "find out what watchdog this system has and set it up to reboot if this device freezes".

Ditch SSH for Mosh. It runs over UDP and resumes when your internet cuts out, or you close your laptop. Much nicer when controlling agents on an external machine. (Keep SSH with key forwarding though if you like to keep ssh keys off of your servers).

For those interested, at @taofuxyz we made 16GiB LLM models work in your browser. We forked the excellent ngxson/wllama package and implemented memory64, a WASM browser spec that allows using 16GiB or memory instead of 4GiB. Repo: github.com/actuallymentor… 🚢
