Meet the Hate Squad. @AgendaPAC is calling out the bigots who have been attacking our communities with their harmful policies and dangerous rhetoric, and @BRCampaigns is proud to be supporting their work! #TheHateSquad

You don’t defeat bigots by ignoring them. Last year, we beat Moms for Liberty at the ballot box — and we’re not done yet. This year, we’re taking on 10 anti-LGBTQ bigots who use their power for hate. Help us kick them out: secure.actblue.com/donate/2022-do…

A nail-biter! Congrats to our client, @MollyforTexas, on winning the Democratic nomination for State Senate in her third election in three months.

I am so honored to be your sitting state senator and your Democratic nominee for Senate District 15. I will use every day in the State Senate to fight for public safety, public health, and our shared values. Thank you to everyone who helped make this victory a reality.
Senator Molly Cook Takes Decisive Late Lead in Texas Senate District 15 Primary Runoff

“Today, we get to celebrate our fantastic, well-deserved, historic win. Winning a Texas Senate seat is a big deal, and it tastes extra sweet because it is born of sheer grit, determination, and teamwork. We have organized for years, stayed true to our values, and built momentum that extends beyond this election. Thank you to the team, voters, volunteers, and donors. Let’s take a moment to root ourselves in gratitude and bask in our community, and let’s get to work.”
Cook is the first out member of the LGBTQ+ community ever to serve in the Texas Senate and the first woman to represent District 15. She is also the youngest current Senator and the only Democratic medical professional in the Senate.

“Congratulations to Molly and your team for running such a smart campaign! I’m so proud of Molly and what y’all have done. I can’t wait to see what she can do for her constituents in 15 and for all of Texas!” - Mary Anne Friedrich, Precinct 14 Chair

“I along with the Houston Federation of TEACHERS are proud that we were on the right side of history. We know that Senator Molly Cook will be a strong supporter of public education and represent us well. We know that sometimes you have to stand alone, but we were up for the fight because we know that Molly is up for the fight for us. Congratulations Senator Molly Cook. We are looking forward to working with you in the Senate.” - Jacki Anderson, HFT President
“Senator Cook is one of the most impressive candidates ever to run for office in Texas. The thoughtfulness, compassion, and grit she has exhibited both as an organizer and a candidate has built not just a successful campaign but a growing movement to ensure that all Houstonians can live a life of dignity. I am proud to be her constituent, and her friend. On to November!” - Daniel J. Cohen, Precinct 272 Chair, and Community Activist

“Molly's win gives me hope that Texas can be a place for all Texans...no exceptions. She cares for everyone especially those who are vulnerable and marginalized. Isn't it awesome to have the first female lgbtq State Senator who is compassionate, smart and willing to do the hard work to lift our voices” - Poonam Kapoor
Molly Cook is a born-and-raised Texan, ER nurse, community organizer, and Senator serving Texas Senate District 15. Molly has a Master’s in public health policy from Johns Hopkins University. She has volunteered for political campaigns across the state and advocated for sustainable, equitable, multimodal transportation at every level of government. She co-organized the Fair for Houston campaign that collected over 23,000 signatures, knocked over 150,000 doors, turned out 250 volunteers, and successfully passed a charter amendment on the November 2023 City of Houston ballot with 65%. As a woman who has had an abortion in Texas, the fight for reproductive justice is personal for Molly and her patients. Texas is the epicenter of poor quality of life outcomes in this country, and good policy saves lives. Molly’s experience as an ER nurse and passion for organizing are the foundation of her work.
