Young people come to Pinterest for inspiration and to explore their own identities. We take the responsibility to give teens a safer, more positive experience online seriously at Pinterest. Today, Bill Ready, our CEO, commends Governor Gavin Newsom for signing SB 1119, Adam’s Law. More from Bill: “Teens deserve technology that supports their wellbeing — not technology that puts it at risk. As AI companion chatbots get built into the platforms they use every day, companies need clear guardrails and real accountability. Adam’s Law is a smart step, and I commend Governor Newsom for signing it.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/evKQwHAT

Men, especially Gen Z men, are reshaping how they spend their time on and off Pinterest – reimagining their daily lives around what actually matters to them. Our 2026 Men’s Trend Report details the shift in how men are using Pinterest to find inspiration for offline hobbies. Among them is three-time NBA Champion, Dwyane Wade, who shares the importance of investing in your emotional wellbeing and taking time to unplug, get outside and make meaningful connections. "That’s why I love what men are building on Pinterest: it’s about real life, real community and taking care of yourself, not just living for whatever’s on your screen." Discover the full Men’s Trend Report along with Dwyane’s curated Pinterest board and the Pinterest Man profile: https://lnkd.in/e39j4sz2

People are tired of an internet that leaves them drained, not inspired; even Gen Z have had enough, with 40% of them saying they wish social media was never invented. That’s not a blip. It’s a signal. At Pinterest, our goal has never been to keep people scrolling. It’s to give them a reason to go offline. For brands, that’s an opportunity. People come to Pinterest to decide what to try, buy or do next. They come with intention, and it’s up to brands to meet them in that moment. That’s what I’ll be talking about at Pinterest Presents, our global marketing summit streaming on September 17. I hope you’ll join us. https://lnkd.in/gjnMNkUU

Last Friday, we launched our Pinterest Positive Internet Corner initiative in Singapore. The fundamental question we wanted to address was: What does a more positive Internet look like for Gen Z? Our research found that Gen Z are very mindful about the way they use technology, increasingly aware of the impact it can have on their wellbeing, and deliberate about the value they seek from the internet. They're looking for digital experiences that help them learn, explore, become inspired, make informed decisions, and move forward with confidence. Almost 80% of Gen Z want technology platforms that help them discover their own personal taste, not simply feed them what is most popular right now. We were honoured to host the Minister of State, Rahayu Mahzam, Ministry of Digital Development and Information, alongside National Youth Council Singapore’s Tan Lin Teck, Happiness Initiative’s Sherman Ho, and actress and designer Shi-An Lim. The panel explored what young people want from the internet, as well as how platforms, policymakers and communities can create more positive digital experiences together. The launch brought more than 50 youth, government and industry stakeholders, community partners and media to explore what a more positive and intentional internet could look like for Singapore’s youth. Making real-life magic with Warner Bros. Entertainment 🪄✨ To celebrate the launch of our new Pinterest Hobby Report, we partnered with Warner Bros. ahead of the Practical Magic 2 premiere for an immersive pop-up experience. The night brought the report’s top trend to life: people are actively craving hands-on, screen-free experiences. Using insights from the report, we had a blast turning these rising search trends into interactive moments like candle-making, tea blending, and tarot card reading.🔮 More than half of Pinterest’s 640M monthly active users are Gen Z, and as the mom of two myself I definitely see this curation of personal hobbies on the rise. From finding new activities to planning a new look, the best part of Pinterest is giving people a reason to put their phones down and create something tangible with the people they love. Take a look through all the magic in our full trend report below. https://lnkd.in/gpHUbQdn

What happens when Pinterest employees get two full days to explore ideas, solve challenges and build with AI? Makeathon 2026. This August, we hosted our 14th annual Makeathon, our company-wide moment to help shape what’s next for the business, Pinterest users and the way we work. This year introduced two tracks: hackathon, where employees teamed up to create bold, cross-functional ideas, and buildathon, where employees had dedicated time to build something that improves their own work and impact. Together, our teams submitted 200+ projects. Read our new blog to learn more about the event and get a sneak peek at a few of the winning ideas. https://lnkd.in/e__xJtqX

The recent $17.1 billion industry settlement serves as a watershed moment and a sobering reminder that for too long, the digital status quo has prioritized addictive engagement over the wellbeing of young people. This turning point reinforces why a different path isn’t just preferred; it’s necessary. While others are being compelled to add safeguards, Pinterest was built with a different intent from the start. Our new report on teen digital wellbeing in 2026 shows exactly that. Young people come to Pinterest with intention: to find ideas, save inspiration, and go make something happen in the real world. This isn’t accidental. We optimize for time well spent, not time spent. Our goal is always meaningful discovery, not endless scrolling. And we’re hearing directly from teens that when platforms like Pinterest are designed for inspiration instead of endless consumption, the experience changes. They feel less pressure to perform, less exposure to toxicity, and more freedom to explore who they are and what they want to create. Read more about how we’re working intentionally to build a platform that leaves teens more inspired, more supported, and more themselves. https://lnkd.in/gsTd4iEd
