CodeAI, formerly Code.org, Founder and Chairman of the Board, Hadi Partovi, is an entrepreneur and angel investor. Hadi was on the founding teams of Tellme and iLike, and was an investor or early advisor to numerous startups including Facebook, Dropbox, Zappos, and Airbnb.

Anthony Owen

Head of Policy

Prior to coming onboard in 2022, Anthony unofficially worked with CodeAI for many years as the nation’s first state computer science supervisor. Anthony has been married to Michele since 2000, and they have two sons. Anthony, a first-generation college student, has a B.S. in Math, a M.S.E. in Ed Leadership, a J.D., and is a member of the AR Bar.

Cameron Wilson

Executive Advisor

Cameron is CodeAI's, formerly Code.org, co-founder with Hadi and Ali Partovi and former CEO & President. Cameron created the computer science K-12 community policy agenda and then scaled CodeAI’s outreach and advocacy efforts helping pass 350+ policies across every state. He then turned toward scaling CodeAI’s district outreach along with local partner programs before shifting into the CEO & President role to focus on day-to-day operations. Before CodeAI, Cameron served as Director of Public Policy for the Association for Computing Machinery and spent 10 years on Capitol Hill in various positions. Cameron continues to serve in an executive advisory role guiding the organization's mission.

Chuck Melley

Sr. VP of US Policy and Evangelism

Chuck leads CodeAI's policy, advocacy, and evangelism efforts, bringing over 20 years of experience shaping education policy at the federal, state, and international level. Having held leadership roles at Pearson and ETS and served as a Presidential Appointee and veteran of five presidential campaigns, he has built a track record of translating policy strategy into outcomes, spearheading 50-state advocacy campaigns, and leading government relations strategies across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Chuck is driven by a deep belief that every student, regardless of zip code, deserves access to the skills that will define their future.

Emily McLeod

Director of Teaching and Learning

Emily leads the CodeAI team developing K-12 curriculum and professional learning. She is an education program and product designer specializing in equitable, high-quality CS and STEM learning, and is passionate about engaging female students and students from groups underrepresented in CS. Previously, Emily was Director of Innovation, Research, and Curriculum at Techbridge Girls, and was a curriculum designer at EDC.

Girard is a technology attorney with experience in advocacy, privacy, security, AI, and ethics. Girard earned his BS in Business Administration and Management Information Systems, a MA in Applied Ethics of Science and Technology, and a JD specializing in Internet law. Girard lives in Colorado with his wife Heather and two kids who love the outdoors.

She previously taught computer science in Orlando, FL while also leading and participating in numerous professional and curriculum development opportunities and recruitment efforts. Jamila holds a doctorate in Computer Science and enjoys reading, gaming, and playing piano, ukulele, and bass.

Karim previously served as the CPO at CodeAI, leading the global effort to bring CS and AI into K-12 classrooms. His path was shaped in high school, when a teacher inspired a lifelong passion for technical problem-solving—a "lightbulb moment" that now fuels his mission to empower students everywhere. A seasoned executive with experience in scaling high-growth companies, he has served in leadership roles at Remitly, Booking.com and RealNetworks. He is dedicated to the vision that teaching students how technology works gives them the agency to build the future.

Patty Izquierdo knows firsthand what it means to attend school without CS+AI education and, as a parent, is reminded daily why changing that matters. She believes every child deserves to be prepared to thrive in this new era of technology. That conviction drives her work building the conditions where exceptional people do their best work. With 20 years of experience scaling People & Culture functions across early-stage startups, high-growth companies, and mission-driven organizations, she knows building the right team is how you make that possible for every student. When she's not coaching leaders or tinkering with AI, she's exploring nature with her family or playing fetch with her cats.

Saleem Khan

Prior to joining CodeAI, Saleem held senior leadership roles across philanthropy and the social impact sector. As Executive Director of the British Asian Trust in India, he established India operations and led three of the country's largest impact bonds supporting education and skilling at scale. He previously served as Director of Philanthropy for Asia & Africa at The Bridgespan Group and as CEO of United Way India, where he built strategic partnerships with governments, philanthropists, and corporations to drive systems-level change. Before transitioning to the social impact sector, Saleem held senior leadership roles at global organizations including Citibank and Aviva PLC.
