Feature Requests

In the Edit Sequence / Open media window, I'd like to be able to link a video and detached audio track so I can move them together in sync. It's an incredibly arduous process currently to move detached audio and video together. I should be able to link any two or more tracks together to move them in sync in the sequence editor.

So far we have the option to connect our Google Drive but many of the professionals prefer Frame.io including myself.

We're a production company and this feature is costing us significantly. Please fix AAF exports. Regions appear out of order, or tracks are missing entirely on a frequent basis.

When I create a scene division by pressing slash and try to change something within the new scene (like, for instance, zooming in on a layer via the cropping tool), it always affects the previous scene BEFORE the slash, rather than the new scene AFTER the slash. I believe this is somewhat new behavior (within the last few months), and it's started driving me insane. Is this intentional? If so, can that intention change? It feels backwards to create a new scene and then for the adjustments to apply to the PREVIOUS scene, rather than the NEW one.

Allow users to group multiple layers together. Use case: Animation can be added to group layers to allow simultaneous movement.

Would love better reporting and analytics functions for when we embed or iframe Descript videos directly into other sources.

Videos published to the web are currently downloadable by default. Please add an account-wide setting to disable downloads by default on all new videos, with a per-video toggle to enable downloads when I want them.

It would be nice to be able to batch export multiple media files that have transcripts to subtitle files. The same goes for compositions.

I need auto generated highlight reels under 1m. Currently not possible to configure.

The audio quality during playback in the desktop app is terrible. I initially thought it was my working files, but the quality is great when I play the raw footage through my media player, and the audio quality seems to be fine via the web browser editor.
