FlowPick is an open-source browser extension that detects supported M3U8/HLS, MPD/DASH, direct video, audio, and image resources available to your browser. Extension downloads and local tools process media on your device without requiring FFmpeg or a command line.
Technically, FlowPick is a Chromium/Firefox extension that monitors network requests for streaming media manifests (M3U8 playlists following RFC 8216 HLS, MPD manifests following ISO/IEC 23009-1 DASH), parses them with m3u8-parser and mpd-parser, downloads fragments concurrently, and repackages TS/fMP4 fragments into progressive MP4 using mux.js — all running client-side via Web Workers and the File System Access API.

Why can't FlowPick detect videos on some websites?
Some websites use DRM protection, encrypted streams, or custom protocols that are not publicly accessible. FlowPick works best with standard HLS/DASH streams and direct video files.
What should I do if the merged video won't play?
Try downloading in a different quality level. Some streams may have corrupted segments. You can also try using a video repair tool like VLC's "Always Fix" option.
Is FlowPick free to use?
The browser extension and local tools are free to use. Optional account and cloud-transfer features have the plans and usage limits shown in the product.
How does FlowPick handle data?
The extension has no analytics SDK, and local tools keep selected files on your device. The website may use analytics; account and cloud-transfer features process only the data needed to provide those optional services. See the Privacy Policy for details.
