While watching some YouTube build videos, I occasionally hear the word "priming" thrown around. For example, a weapon could be a primer, or something could be used for priming.

What does priming mean in Warframe?

According to the Reddit post What is a primer (and every other website I could find), a primer is a weapon that can quickly apply a lot of status effects to an enemy (priming the enemy) so then you can use your main weapon to do huge amounts of bonus damage (from all the status effects) to them. Essentially set up/support weapons.
