How are domains and subdomains counted?
Usercentrics treats domains and subdomains separately. This is because we need to scan each domain/sub-domain in-depth. You must choose a subscription plan that covers the total number of domains and subdomains where you want to display the CMP banner.
Here’s a detailed article on managing domains in the domains section: Domain management for your CMP – Usercentrics Support - EN
When adding domains to your allow list, use the following logic:
domain.com: Includes only the specified domain and its subpages.
app.domain.com: Restricts inclusion to the specified subdomain and its subpages.
domain.com/page: Only this particular subpage on the domain is included.

What happens if I add more domains than the ones included in my current subscription plan?
Any additional domains or subdomains will be counted at the end of your billing cycle and if you exceed your current domain limit, you will be moved to the next relevant plan, as we've included in our Terms and Conditions. You can always upgrade to a higher plan to increase your domain limit on your own. To ensure you're only paying for the domains you use, you can review and decide which domains you want to keep.
